The Civil Appellate Process
In civil appeals the process begins with the filing of a notice of appeal. We conduct an in-depth review of the trial record, exhibits, judgment and orders of the lower court to identify potential issues for appeal. We then research the law involved and draft a forceful appellate brief.
Upon receipt of the respondent's brief, we draft a reply brief. In the final stage, we prepare and present a persuasive oral argument before the relevant panel of appellate judges.
